There are so many opportunities to give back to the community. Each year, Phoenix Metro Chapter of the National Association of Residential Property Managers chooses a charity to support. In addition, throughout the year, we learn of specific needs that we are able to fulfill. We would like to extend a thank you to our members for making this possible, and highlight one of our recent charities.
We first learned there was a need when one of our members shared the story of how severe weather conditions left the Chandler First Church of the Nazarene flooded, specifically damaging the area where the children’s classrooms are. As professional property managers, we understand the expense that accompanies extensive water damage. The church was able to address the immediate health and safety concerns, but the expense of restoration was immense.
After careful consideration, we learned that there was a need in the children’s classrooms for new flooring. The
children were currently spending their time sitting on concrete flooring. After pulling together our financial resources, and with the help of one of our outstanding affiliate vendors, we were able to adopt a project to redo one of the classrooms where our member volunteers and teaches each week. After a call to our affiliate member, Shelby Hogan with Red Carpet Flooring, the room was measured, and carpet was quickly on its way!
We know that when we all pull together, we are able to do great things! This was just one small way that we have been able to give back to a community in need in the downtown Chandler area. Our heartfelt appreciation goes out to Shelby Hogan and his company for their
generosity in providing labor, and our chapter members for making this possible.
