BOD Meeting Minutes

Call to Order –  9:35 am

Meet the Board

  • President – Kimberly Ayers

    • Feedback on Christmas Party- Good DJ, Better Swag or Giveaways, BREAD

    • New Charity- AR Inclusion for Intellectually disabled. Austin, with AR, will be joining our Chapter meeting to present the charity.

    • President’s Goals

      • Local PAC - Local PMs helping protect our industry and our clients, and collecting money. Finalize by March.

      • RVP working on connecting AZ as a state chapter.

      • Working on getting new NARPM Banner

      • Working on getting info on NARPM Designation Class

      • Grants- Money is available if we claim it.

      • Master Calendar- Motion to remove July Board meeting approved.

      • Contact Email/Phone for BOD and Committees

    • 2020 Strategic Plan

    • Installation of Officers for January’s Meeting

    • Update Board at NARPM.org- NARPM should have updated login for leadership chapter tools

  • President Elect / Legislative Report – Mark Brower

    • Chapter Compliance and Chapter Excellence coming up quick.

    • The Constitutional Amendment needs signatures, and the main guy will come speak to our chapter if we are interested.

  • Past President – Sandy Baber

    • Thank you for 2019 support.

    • Working on getting someone from Save The Charity to present the check to them.

    • We need everyone on the board to be a greeter

  • Secretary Report – Heather Nicely

    • BOD Meeting Minutes approved

  • Treasurer Reports – Jamie Rosen

    • Monthly Report - End of Month Balance : $7789.88/Current balance:  $13,364.32

    • Additional items for 2020 budget- spending surplus. (PAC, Sponsor Travel to NARPM Events)

  • Education Report – Dick Rosen

    • January Class - only 16 registered so far

    • Class Calendar

    • Signing up new affiliates to join through Joinit, same way professional members join. Dues are $106 to join as an affiliate. Misty will take over as affiliate chair.

  • Membership Report – Kaneshia McClendon

    • Membership Count- 116 Renewals

      • Renewal Reminders are still going out

      • Expecting 50 more members and 40 more affiliates to join.

  • Marketing Report – Matt Prescott

    • Currently updating the website and need headshots and ideas for features for the site

    • Board Meeting next month is pictures

    • January Marketing Plan

      • Email Announcement - flyers going out tomorrow, and adding renewal

      • Newsletter

      • Updating the calendar with the course title and date

  • Affiliate Report – Kim Ayers Standing in for Mike Hoffman

    • January Sponsor – Phoenix EZ Keys / Eric Evans

  • Legislative Report – Mark Brower / Kristi Zundel

    • New Bill being proposed

    • Life Cycle of a bill for the newsletter

  • Social Report – Lindsey Baker

    • Go ahead and line sponsors up to sponsor food, event or possibly booze.

Action Items from the Board Meeting

Heather to introduce Kim, Mark, and Kristi to Legislative Chairs at NARPM National.

Kim to contact National for direction on starting a state-wide PAC.

Kristi, Mark, and Heather will propose a PAC Agenda and report back to Kim in the next two weeks.

Kim Emailing Gail and shopping for a new banner.

Dick will follow up on NARPM Designation class for 2020.

Jamie to check the website for Grant money available for our chapter.

Heather to cancel board meetings for July and December at the Forum.

Mark to bring in Chapter Excellence items and questions to the next Board Meeting.

Mark and Kristi to learn about language and timing of amendment by next month’s meeting.

Misty to connect Kim with a vendor for name tags and possibly t shirts.

Jamie will put a budget together once her internet is connected, and run the PNL for 2019.

Dick to add to master calendar to keep classes, speakers, sponsors outlined. (Kim will add calendar to Dropbox) Matt to add Heartwalk to the calendar.

Kim to add Dropbox access for new people for shared NARPM files.

EVERYONE - send your headshot to Matt for the website update.

Misty and Clark to start lining up sponsors for chapters, vendor fair, and Christmas party.

Everyone- Come up with one way to spend some money for the surplus in a way that is useful and beneficial.
